One Monkey Don't Stop No Show Lyrics

My baby jumped up this morning, sat on the side of the bed
He said, "I'm leaving you, baby" and this is just what I said
I said, "I can't make you stay if you want to go
But it's high time, baby, that you should know"One monkey don't stop no show
One monkey don't stop no show
So, if you still wanna go, go ahead
And I mean every word I saidMy baby thought I was jivin', he went right out the door
He left me about three in the morning, I got me a man at four
Some women cry when their men bleed 'em dry, long and slow
But I found out somethin' a long time agoOne monkey don't stop no show
One monkey don't stop no show
So if he gets too big for his pants
You better spring that new one and give him a chanceI used to be a chicken hearted, cry when he'd walk out the door
'Cause I was just young and stupid, ha, ain't like that no more
'Cause I had a hard way to go but I learned the score
And I'm here to tell you and I should knowOne monkey don't stop no show
One monkey don't stop no show
Let him do anything he choose

There's a million men who can fill his shoesOne monkey don't stop no show
One monkey don't stop no show
One monkey don't stop no show
You can tell him I told you so, all right

Enjoy the lyrics !!!
Bette Midler (December 1, 1945) is an American singer, actress, and comedian, also known to her fans and especially in gay culture, as The Divine Miss M. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Jewish parents from New Jersey, and raised there. Midler relocated to New York City to pursue acting on stage, and in 1970 she began singing at the Continental Baths, a gay bathhouse in the city, where she became close to her piano accompanist, Barry Manilow, who produced her first major album, The Divine Miss M in 1973. She is named after the actress Bette Davis although Davis pronounced her name in two syllables, and Midler uses one.

During her career, she has won four Grammy Awards, four Golden Globes, three Emmy Awards, and a Tony Award, and has been nominated for two Academy Awards. She is currently performing a new concert show, The Showgirl Must Go On, live five nights a week as one of the current headliners at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas (together with Cher and Elton John).
