One More Cup of Coffee (Valley Below) Lyrics

Your breath is sweet and weak
Your eyes are like two jewels in the sky.
Your back is straight, your hair is smooth
On the pillow where you lie.
But I don't sense affection
No gratitude no love
Your loyalty is not to me
But, to the stars above. One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go
To the valley below.Your daddy he's an outlaw
And a wanderer by trade
He'll teach you how to pick and choose
And how to throw the blade
He oversees his kingdom
So no stranger does intrude
His voice it trembles as he calls out
For another plate of foodOne more cup of coffee for the road,
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go

To the valley belowYour sister sees the future
Like your mother and yourself
You don't know how to read and write
There's no books upon your shelf.
But your pleasure knows no limits
And your voice is like a meadowlark
Your heart is like the ocean
Mysterious and darkOne more cup of coffee for the road,
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go
To the valley below

The White Stripes were an alternative rock band, formed in 1997 in Detroit, Michigan, United States. They disbanded in 2011. The group consisted of songwriter Jack White (vocals, piano/keyboards, guitar) and Meg White (drums, vocals). After releasing several singles and three albums within the Detroit independent music underground, The White Stripes rose to prominence in 2002, as part of the garage rock revival scene. Their successful albums White Blood Cells and Elephant drew them attention from a large variety of media outlets in the United States and the United Kingdom.
