One More Thing to Break Lyrics

You always tell me
I'm just one more thing to break
You wonder why
I wanna fall apart that wayCrack my reason
Wearing you pretty face
Dropped me a couple times
I come around anywayDemolition by words
Wrecked all over town
Working for one break
Head down, passed outYou always tell me
I'm just one more thing to hide
Your friends don't know me
And they wonder where you goTake it on another phone
Put-downs in code
I've got my own ring
You might not be aloneLeave me everywhere
Waking up on a floor
Locked in a nightclub

Breaking out the back doorYou always tell me
I'm just one more thing to break

Freedy Johnston (born 1961) is a New York City-based singer-songwriter originally from Kinsley, Kansas. Johnston's first album, "The Trouble Tree" was released in 1990, and features the guitar playing of the roots musician and author, David Hamburger. Johnston sold some of his family's farmland to finance the recording of his second album, Can You Fly (an event he wrote about in a song on that album, "Trying to Tell You I Don't Know").
