One Real Thing Lyrics

Speak and my heart starts aching
Reach and the numbness dims
Beat still my minds uncertain
Breathe, it begins againYou are the one real thing, yeah
You are the one true thing that I know
You are the one real thing
No matter what the future brings
You're the one real thingStay locked within Your presence
Truth, renew in my mind again
Rest 'cause I know You're faithful
And I trust, 'cause I know Your nameYou are the one real thing, yeah
You are the one true thing that I know
You are the one real thing
No matter what the future brings
You're the one real thingI get down on my knees
And I feel Your love wash over me
I get down on my knees
And I feel Your love wash over meI get down on my knees

And I feel Your love wash over me
I get down on my knees
And I feel Your love wash over meSpeak and my heart starts aching
Reach and the numbness dims
Beat still my minds uncertain
Breathe, it begins again, begins againYou are the one real thing, yeah
You are the one true thing that I know
You are the one real thing, yeah
You are the one true thing that I know
You are the one real thing
No matter what the future brings
You're the one real thingI get down on my knees
And I feel Your love wash over me
(One real thing)
I get down on my knees
And I feel Your love wash over me
(One real thing)I get down on my knees
And I feel Your love wash over me
(One real thing)
I get down on my knees
And I feel Your love wash over me
(One real thing)

Skillet is an American rock band formed in Nashville, Tennessee, consisting of all Christian members. Skillet formed in 1996 with two members: John Cooper, former vocalist for Tennessee progressive rock band Seraph, and Ken Steorts, former guitarist for Urgent Cry. The two bands met through touring together, but those bands disbanded soon after, so John and Ken's pastor encouraged them to form their own band as a side-project.
