One for Reality Lyrics

There's this friend of mine
Been doing time with the same girlfriend
That he's had for far too many of his daysIt seems with each passing second
Her brain lets loose
The one screw which holds back the rageThen she screams again, cries again
And it loosens a little more
It's much more than a single soul can take
And when it goes again tonight
Well, we all know who she'll blameThis friend of mine called last weekOn a payphone not too far from where he stays
It seems she lost her mind again that night'Cause she screams at him each night
Then she runs to him each day
And I just wouldn't feel rightIf I looked the other wayCHORUS:
So that's one for realityBut you didn't hear that from me
'Cause I'll only say it's not true
Let me add one more indecency
With absolute necessity
That she never claimed to be true
Neither did youBreak up time again

And my sister calls on the phone
To ask my humble opinion
Of just what's going onI said you scream at him each night
Then you run to him each day
And I just wouldn't feel right
If I look the other wayCHORUSI hear her side and I hear his
I was on the outside, now I'm in thisMy one word answer could come between them
My sister is crying, 'cause I can't decide (REPEAT)CHORUS

Deep Blue Something is an American rock band best known for its hit single "Breakfast at Tiffany's." The group was founded in 1993 in Denton, Texas by students Todd and Toby Pipes, Kirk Tatum, and John Kirtland.

In 1996, "Breakfast at Tiffany's," which referenced the classic Audrey Hepburn film of the same name, reached the top five in the U.S. and number one in the United Kingdom.

There was conjecture that the band took so much time off between Home and Deep Blue Something in order to fight US centered copyright issues related to their initial album, 11th Song, which they believed to be of lower quality than their name deserved. The 7 year hiatus between albums is believed to be partially responsible for their failure to succeed in the US with their self-titled release.

The band's website is no longer available, although they do have a profile on social networking website MySpace. The band is planning on playing a few shows summer of 2006 and to release new music through iTunes.

John Kirtland is now running a successful independent record label called Kirtland Records. Based out of Dallas, Texas and Los Angeles, California, Kirtland's shrewd business dealings led to his ownership of the back-catalog of superstar band, Bush and royalty rights on the sales of certain albums by No Doubt. After selling off his rights to the No Doubt material, Bush remains on the Kirtland label along with successful indies like Bril and the Burden Brothers.
