Only In America Lyrics

A preacher's thumping his bible
and praying on the suicidal
he'll lead us up to salvation
for some small remuneration
he'll make you clean
just touch your screen
and you'll own anything you've even dreamed
Chorus:
can you feel the pulse of america
there is nowhere else like america
see it for your self in america
you could only be in america
only in america x4
a young man crosses the boarder
he searching for the new world order
he ended up in a sweat shop
prosperity was going to be his next stop
12 hour days a minimum wage

would make him nothing but a new world slave
Chorus
can you feel the paulse of america
there is nowhere else like america
see it for your self in america
you could only be in america
only in america x8bridgeChrosonly in america x20

Guitarists Dave Faulkner, Rod Radalj, and Kimble Rendall were joined by drummer James Baker when the band formed in Sydney in 1981. Baker and Radalj had been members of Perth band The Scientists in 1977-79, while Baker had drummed with Faulkner and in another Perth band, The Victims, in 1978-79.
