Open Book Lyrics

You feel you have nothing to hide
It's dazzling like a star
Yet there is something inside
Beautiful and dangerous like a rose
Something telling you, you shouldn't get too closeBut don't try, because
You may burn your wings
And crash to the ground
It makes you wish you were lost
And never found
But you feel your face is blushing nowLooking back, it's always the same vicious circle
You fall in love like you'd fall from a bicycle
And everybody's walking in slow motion
You don't
You can't control your reactionYou should try, because
You may burn your wings
And crash to the ground
It makes you wish you were lost
And never found

But you feel your face is blushing nowYour eyes are like an open book
One can tell everything from the way you look
Your eyes are like an open book
One can tell everything from the way you look
The way you look
The way you lookOhh ohh ohh ohh ohh
Ohh ohh ohh ohh ohh
(Turu ruru turu ruru)(Ohh ohh ohh ohh ohh)
You may burn your wings
(Ohh ohh ohh ohh ohh)
And crash to the ground
(Ohh ohh ohh ohh ohh)
It makes you wish you were lost
And never found
(Ohh ohh ohh ohh ohh)'Cause your eyes are like an open book
One can tell everything from the way you look
You're an open book
You're an open book
You're an open book

Formed by multi instrumentalists Xavier Boyer, Médéric Gontier, Sylvain Marchand & Pedro Resende, Tahiti 80 ’s adventure began in the French cities of Rouen and Paris in the mid 90s. Singer/ guitarist Boyer and bassist Resende formed the pop combo as students at the University of Rouen, sharing an affinity for indie music, new wave and sixties pop. Taking their name from a souvenir t-shirt given to Boyer's father in 1980, the duo recruited guitarist Mederic Gontier, and with the addition of drummer Sylvain Marchand a year later, the lineup was complete.
