Out Of Control Lyrics

The blood is dried and the wounds are high
The scars are settling in
So I keep the light low and they still show
I sink [Incomprehensible]And what it means, what it really means
It's time I let everything go
That's killing me and turning me
Spinning me so out of controlI don't wanna let go
I don't wanna let goI don't know what for but these open doors
Keep slamming in on me
And if life's a joke then it's getting old
And I hope God's looking out for meAnd what it means, what it really means
It's time I let everything go
That's killing me and turning me
Spinning me so out of controlI don't wanna let go
I don't wanna let goAnd what it means, what it really means
It's time I let everything go
That's killing me and turning me
Spinning me so out of controlI don't wanna let go

I don't wanna let goThe blood is dried and the wounds are high
The scars are settling in

Mindy rose to fame in 2003 when she was the first artist signed to contribute to the Dolly Parton tribute album Just Because I'm a Woman: Songs of Dolly Parton, on which she sang a cover of Parton's classic "Jolene". Later Dolly Parton followed by adding backing vocals to a new mix of the song, which was then featured on Smith's debut album that was released in January 2004, One Moment More.

In 2006 she released her second album Long Island Shores. Smith included Buddy Miller as a duet vocalist for What If The World Stops Turning?

In October 2007, Smith released a Christmas album, My Holiday. In addition to several standards, Smith wrote six original Christmas-themed songs. One standout, I Know The Reason, includes duet vocals by Thad Cockrell.
