Out With A Whimper Lyrics

Tell me you can't
Swear I'll go peaceful
I'm backing up out as you speak
Hands in the air
I am steady no temper moves
Cool on the floor of yours
Get gone
Say want you gone and so long
Say won't you stop and I'll stop
If you stay where you are
Then I'll never fault you
'Cause static is blurred black and white
And you go to work while I try
To find something
Nobody wants it
Nobody wants it for long
I'm the one that you thought
Was your ticket out of here

We'll buy a car with a million miles on it
I'll dig it out of the snow
And we'll set alarms and breakfast while it's dark
I will slow down and flicker and fall
Into a life
Into a life unlike this one with its balding tires
And heads because we're tired of spending our time
On a dream that's been dying
Our reasons for charging
Receding and aging
Is feeding on me and you hate me complaining
But honestly where would I be in a year
We are here
While we're here
But I fear we're not here while we're here
We'll eat and we'll shit and we'll drink and we'll piss
And I'll only auld lang syne when the year changes

Meanwhile, her mother’s parents were successful musicians; Harry Simeone, the composer and choral arranger responsible for such works as “The Little Drummer Boy” and “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and Margaret McCravy (stage name McCrae)...
