Out of the Night Lyrics

Coming out of the night - stepping out
Where the winds are warmer
It's a sudden alright - coming out of the nightComing out of the night - stepping out
From the darkest corner
With new eyes I can see - I can do what I pleaseCatch your breath as you watch your step
Head spinning round as you hit the ground
Present tense time is of essence
Hold the second hand going round the dialComing out of the night - stepping out
Where the winds are warmer
It's a sudden alright - coming out of the night
I was once at the forefront
Once I was happy in life
But mostly I don't think about it now
I smile like I'm doing alrightComing out of the night - stepping out
Where the winds are warmer
It's a sudden alright - coming out of the nightComing out of the night - stepping out
From the darkest corner
With new eyes I can see - I can do what I pleaseBy chance to meet an inner light

Your wildest dreams bring a certain frightDoubt arisin'
From the shock
Keep your head
And lead the flock
Then we were back
In the whirlwind
Torn by the storms
Of our lives
And just
When we thought
It was over
It came
Blowin' through
One more time

Transatlantic is a progressive rock supergroup founded in 1999 by Neal Morse of Spock's Beard and Mike Portnoy of The Winery Dogs and Liquid Tension Experiment and formerly of Dream Theater. Other members include progressive rock veterans Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings) and Pete Trewavas (Marillion). Daniel Gildenlöw (Pain of Salvation) provided backing vocals and played guitar and keyboard during the 2001 tour. After releasing two highly acclaimed studio albums and two live recordings they disbanded in 2002 mainly because of Neal Morse's decision to start a Christian rock career.
