Over Lyrics

Think rich either that or we die poor
Think rich either that or we die poor
Think rich either that or we die poor
Right about now
The first bed I slept on came out the garbage can
But I knew when I got older I would be the man
Ain't no one ever made it back from where I'm from
But I knew if I kept grindin' oh my time would come
When my daughter was born I really thought it was over
Had to get a 9 to 5 but that's when I was the brokest
If I was gon change my life you know that I had to focus
Started doing talent shows hoping that somebody noticed
Finally finally finally I get to put the past behind me-hind me
Now everyday meh hustle and grind remind me
No have if struggle anymore
Ain't this what we do it for

So many tears we've cried
So much pain inside
But hear me it ain't over till it's over
So many years we've tried
And me no tell no lie
But hear me it ain't over till it's over
Unno hear me
Think rich either that or we die poor
Think rich either that or we die poor
Right about now
See in the hood its playing ball hustle crack or you die
Born to lose so I had to hustle from day to night
Knew it would happen when I started rapping at the age of 5
They told me I wouldn't make it never said that I couldn't try
Grew up with killers my homies were dope dealers
But I don't judge em at all cause God knows that we all sinners
Somehow I turned out different now we only getting bigger
And now everybody in the caribbean's ridin' with us
So finally finally finally I get to put the past behind me-hind me
Now everyday meh hustle and grind remind me
No have if struggle anymore
Ain't this what we do it for
So many tears we've cried
So much pain inside
But hear me it ain't over till it's over
So many years we've tried
And me no tell no lie
But hear me it ain't over till it's over
Unno hear me
It ain't over it ain't over until it's over
It ain't over it ain't over until it's over
It ain't over it ain't over until it's over
Oh-ooh-whoa-oh
Oh-ooh-whoa-oh
So many tears we've cried
So much pain inside
But hear me it ain't over till it's over
So many years we've tried
And me no tell no lie
Cause baby it ain't over till it's over
Unno hear me

There are 3 bands named Rock City.

Band 1:
Rock City was formed in Memphis in the late 1960's and was one of Chris Bell's pre-Big Star bands whose personnel had also included Terry Manning, Thomas Eubanks, Steve Rhea, Vance Alexander, Richard Rosebrough, and future Big Star members Jody Stephens, Andy Hummel, and eventually Alex Chilton. Recordings from the late 1960s and early 1970s by these groups are included on the Rock City and Rockin' Memphis 1960s–1970s Vol. 1 albums released on Lucky Seven/Rounder Records in 2003.

Band 2:
Melbourne Australia's very own Rock City are made up of Lee Harding, Aaron Bateman, Fabian Mcloy, Mick Spencer and Chris 'Chucks' Evans. They came together afta Lee's previous band Bedrock split after his contract with SonyBMG came to an abrubt end. Rock City's very first single was titled "Little Man" and it's about Mick's son who was very ill. Rock City's sound is 80's rock remaniscent of bands such as Guns'n'Roses and Motley Crue with a hint of blues. They released their debut album "Welcome to Rock City" on October 1 2007 via independent record label Sound Vault records and have toured many times gaining fans along the way whilst supporting bands such as Airbourne. These boys def put the 'Rock' in Rock City.

Band 3:
Hailing from the island of St. Thomas, Rock City is preparing to change the face of music, period. Comprised of brothers Theron aka Da Spokesman and Timothy aka Don’t Talk Much, the creative two offers up international flair combined with a Hip-Hop aesthetic with their debut, Wake The Neighbors. Already gathering critical praise throughout the music industry because of their writing talents—the pair have gathered songwriting credits ranging from Akon and Usher to Nicole Scherzinger and Mario to Cassidy and Busta Rhymes—the talented twenty somethings are poised to bring their brand of Caribbean spiced Hip-Hop with a Pop sensibility to the masses.

Rock City was named after their island, the lush but beautifully mountainous terrain of St. Thomas is known as Rock City.

Their first major placement as writers was Akon’s “The Rain” from his double platinum CD Konvicted via a connect from their friend Benny D, who happened to be the Senegalese-American singers’ DJ. “Ever since then we’ve been getting a lot of work,” adds Timothy, humbly. He’s certainly not giving Rock City enough credit, though. In a short time—they began penning songs for other artists in 2006—they’ve amassed a staggering number of tunes renowned artist including Mario, Usher, Eve, and Sean Kingston, to name a few.
