Over the Weekend Lyrics

Packing my crib and Im taking a trip out of town
Over the weekend
Must have a change from the sight of this strange lonely town
Over the weekendFar from the noise of the crowd
There must be some place for me
Where I can shout to the clouds
Shout that Im freeHigh on a mountain top
Time and the world will stop, I know what Ill find
Love uninhibited, nothing prohibited
If its insane I dont care, let me lose my mindMonday will seem as unreal as a dream in the night
Over the weekend
Back on the train I could never explain my delight
Over the week endWill I have any regrets
Back in this hole in the wall?
How long before I could get
The thrill of it all?I think that I can hold on
To love when its over and gone
Ill let the curtain descend

Over the weekendOh, oh, what a dream, what a time, oh, what a day
Ooh, love, love, love
I know, I know, I know
I know, I knowI wanna shout from the highest mountain top
Oh, what a night, it was right
Right here, right now
