Overblown Lyrics

(ok, grunge-masters, here we go)Everybody loves us
Everybody loves our town
That's why I'm thinking lately
The time for leaving is nowHey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
It's so overblownEverybody loves us
Man, they give me the creeps
And you're up there shaking and flexing
Display of a macho freak
Now you've got their attention
And you've got so very far
They gave your very own spotlight
Just like some real rock starHey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey

It's so overblownShow them, stevieYou got a sack full of candy
All I got was a rock
They got you by your big business boy
Nice to know you're packing extra socksEverybody loves us
Everybody's getting kind of old
Couldn't hold a regular job
Long live rock and rollHey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
It's so overblown
Overblown
Overblown
Overblown
OverblownIt's all over and done

Mudhoney is an alternative rock band. Formed in Seattle, Washington, USA, in 1988 following the demise of Green River, Mudhoney's members are vocalist and rhythm guitarist Mark Arm, lead guitarist Steve Turner, bassist Guy Maddison, and drummer Dan Peters. Original bassist Matt Lukin left the band in 1999 but briefly returned in 2000 to complete touring obligations. Mudhoney's early releases on Sub Pop; the "Touch Me I'm Sick" single and the Superfuzz Bigmuff EP; were influential in the Seattle music scene, and helped inspire the dirty, high-distortion sound that would characterize grunge.
