Overwhelming Feeling Lyrics

Here comes that overwhelming feeling again
Here comes that never-ending wave
Each time I see you there I
Try to think of something I could sayHere comes that overwhelming feeling again
Here comes that ecstasy and fear
I try to catch your eye but I
Don't think you notice that I'm hereI start to lead you down that corridor
Each step more precious than the one before
Like Orpheus in the Underworld
I try to lead you out into the day, yeah
And always look awayOrpheus in the Underworld
Eurydice, don't look back
Orpheus in the UnderworldHere comes that overwhelming feeling again
Here comes that dark and subtle wave
I slipped your security but
I guess I'm invisible, a slaveI see the daylight at the end of time
I start to hurry, are you far behind?Ah, rearview mirror and headlight beam
And their eyes lock and suddenly they scream

As you vanished into dayOrpheus in the Underworld
Eurydice, don't look back
(I tried to look away)
Orpheus in the Underworld
Eurydice, don't look back
(But you vanished into day)
Orpheus in the Underworld
Eurydice, don't look back
(Well, I tried and I tried and I tried to look away, Baby)
Orpheus in the Underworld
(You vanished into day, oh girl, you vanished into day)Don't look back, Don't look back, Don't look back, Don't look back, Don't look back, Don't look back, Don't look back, Don't look back, Don't look back, no

Wang Chung is a british new wave musical group. Originally called Huang Chung which is Chinese for "perfect pitch" (though they later claimed it was the sound a guitar made on American Bandstand), the band formed in 1979. The lineup consisted of vocalist/guitarist Jack Hues, bassist Nick Feldman, saxophonist David Burnand a.k.a "Hogg" and drummer Darren Costin. Their self-titled debut was released by Arista Records in 1982 after several singles, including the minor post-punk hit "Isn't It About Time We Were on TV".
