Parallels Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
Sleepy eyes, crooked smile
I think I may have lost the fight
Falling down, fading out
I think I'm done tonightLook at me now,
I don't know how things got so crazy
I'm in the same old sorry state
That I always wake up toFollow me out,
Out of the way to any place you'd rather be
Feels like heaven in the sun
When the clouds roll in the screenLet it rain for now

Let it rain for nowI'm coming down
I'm back in the place I was in when I started out
Wasn't pretty then, it's not pretty still but pretty soon it's meI guess we'll see where tomorrow takes me
You always used to say,
"Just let the chips fall where they may"Let it rain for now
Let it rain for nowLet it rain for now
Just let it rain for nowHello again
You are the friend that never let me down
You got this funny way of being here,
When I need you aroundAre you staying for a while?
Why don't you stay here for a while
Are you staying for a while?
Why don't you stay here for a whileLook at me now
Look at me now
Why don't you stay here for a while
We'll say what the hell, childLet it rain for now
Let it rain for nowLet it rain for now
Just let it rain for now

Brandtson was an indie rock band that formed in 1996 in Cleveland, Ohio and disbanded in 2007. It was originally a side project for Myk Porter, the vocalist of the hardcore band, Six Feet Deep. Porter got his friend Jared Jolley to play drums in the band. Soon thereafter, Six Feet Deep broke up and Brandtson became a full-time band with the addition of Matt Traxler, also of Six Feet Deep, on guitar and John Sayre on bass.
