Part Truth / Part Fiction Lyrics

Waking up was harder than it was
Yesterday I found it hard to find my own lifelore
Took a walk, just took in something new
To take my mind from everything that I was used to
It was early in the morning oh
That's when I lost everything
From the night before I'm sure melodies spread through me again
I forgot my own name, for a few seconds, lettered inside
I'm leaving this town
I'll find shelter from the rain
I don't care where I end up
I'm on the next train
It's so selfish of I, to leave everyone I know
If I could write it all again, I'd tell myself to go slow
I can't help what I've done
I can't save myself now
Who am I?

It was early in the morning oh
That's when I lost everything
From the night before I'm sure melodies spread through me again
I forgot my own name, for a few seconds, lettered inside

Flood Of Red formed in Airdrie, a satellite town twelve miles east of Glasgow in 2004. Starting out as a trio who met via school and the local skate scene, they soon expanded to a sextet. Sitting in the heart of post-industrial Lanarkshire, Airdrie provided an early inspiration of sorts: inspiration to strive for more. Inspiration to get out. “It’s known as a bit of hooligan town,” says drummer Graham Griffith.
