Patience Lyrics

patience
all my patience is gone
lately
I just can't keep holding on
'til tomorrow
cause I've been waiting here too long just to be patientlet me
let me know who you are
you've kept me
long enough inside the dark
but flowers
will only grow beneath the sun
I wish you'd let me
patience is a virtue
love just can't be wrong
silence is golden
so I'll just sing along
I know your walls will soon defend me
I'll be glad then that they're strong

and if haste will make me waste your love
then I will learn to crawl and just be patienthoping
I keep hoping for a sign
just a taken
cause faith is best left to the blind
but knowing
would be such fuel for the fire
but I'll keep hoping
patience is a virtue
love just can't be wrong
silence is golden
so I'll just sing along
I know your walls will soon defend me
I'll be grateful then that they're strong
I know haste will make me waste it all
so I will learn to crawl and just be patientif I could could know which way the wind blowshaste will only make me waste your love
so I will learn to crawl and just be patient

In the summer of 2005, after a series of deaths in the family, Michael Deni left his hometown in New Jersey for San Francisco. He spent the next several months with his guitar and a synthesizer, turning that tragedy into the songs that would soon become the foundation for Geographer. With the additions of cellist Nathan Blaz and drummer Brian Ostreicher, Geographer spent the next year cutting their teeth in the Bay Area, winning over crowds with the heart-pounding epics that make up their debut record, ‘Innocent Ghosts’.
