Perfect Place Lyrics

We are all together alone
And these are just wishes
And I am just dreamingIf I ever grow up I will take care of the old
And all the babies that have no one
You might think I give myself
Too much credit but I am just dreaming'Cause not much is sacred
There's not really much to do here any more
I don't feel like you said
I walk the earth my darling but I never feel at homeAnd we all say
I will change tomorrow
(This could be a perfect place)
I will change
(This could be a perfect place)
I will change tomorrow
(This could be a perfect place)
I will change it all tomorrowI will assure all of the husbands
Who are guilty and the wives who feel useless
I will nurse all of the black and blue babies

With their unhappy parents
Who had unhappy parentsAnd I will assure all of the boys who feel awkward
And the girls who feel clumsy
And I will walk alongside the old man
Who feels so alone as everyone rushes by him
Now baby'Cause not much is sacred
There's not really much to do here any more
I don't feel like you said
I walk the earth my darling but I never feel at homeI will change tomorrow
(This could be a perfect place)
I will change
(This could be a perfect place)
I will change tomorrow
(This could be a perfect place)I will change
(This could be a perfect place)
I will change it all tomorrowWe are all together alone
And these are just wishes
And I am just dreaming

Voice of the Beehive are an Anglo-American college radio/alternative pop band, formed in London in 1987 by Californian sisters Tracey Bryn Belland and Melissa Brooke Belland, daughters of Bruce Belland of The Four Preps. When the sisters first sang together they called themselves the Beehive Girls, because of their beehive hairstyles. Their initial success came with the 1988 album Let It Bee, on which they recruited former members from ska band Madness to play guitar and drums.
