Play Dirty Lyrics

I got a six string heater jump in to the fire
I got a rim shot beater, that's my desire
Hundred-watt destroyer, gonna put you away
Turn it up to eleven, we came to playIf you don't sweat you don't get it
If it don't burn it ain't hot
If ain't nasty forget it
If it ain't rude it don't rockPlay dirty, play rough
Play dirty, 'cause I can't get enoughI got a mind half crazy, now ain't that sad!
I can't stop rockin', but that's too bad
Overpowered distortion, blowin' out my brain
Shockwaves in my body, drivin' me insaneIf you don't sweat you don't get it
If it don't burn it ain't hot
If ain't nasty forget it
If it ain't rude it don't rockPlay dirty, play rough
Play dirty, 'cause I can't get enoughYeah
Ah huh huh huh huhIf you don't sweat you don't get it
If it don't burn it ain't hot
If ain't nasty forget it,

If it ain't rude it don't rockPlay D I R T Y, play rough
Play dirty, 'cause I can't get enoughPlay dirty, play rough
Play dirty, 'cause I can't get enoughPlay dirty

In the late 1960s, Roger Earl and Lonesome Dave Peverett first toured America as members of the seminal British band Savoy Brown . Together with guitarist Kim Simmonds, Savoy Brown was on the cutting edge of the emerging British blues-rock scene, and they influenced countless musicians on both sides of the Atlantic. In 1971, wanting to give a more rock 'n roll flavour to the blues-boogie music they were playing with Savoy, Dave and Roger enlisted lead/slide guitarist Rod Price and bassist Tony Stevens, formed a new band, Foghat.
