Pleasant Shadow Song Lyrics

I heard of a place
That Time cant erase
Of beauty and graceBeulah! You scoff at my card
Guess Im no Abelard
I dont know just how far
is BeulahWould only to song
werent indulgent and wrong
and shadow a long twilight
Always to play
and sleep through the day
for music and nightEnough with these books
Carrion and hooks
Ill will and looks
But to BeulahTo pull the forefront
Health for starvation
Ive grown impatient
For Beulah

Cass McCombs (born in Concord, California in 1977) is an American singer-songwriter and performer. An enigmatic folk nomad, McCombs is a quintessentially American artist; "he's quietly become one of (the country's) finest chroniclers of fringe characters, a writer of heart-rending love songs and psychedelic odes to the natural world, a teller of tall-tales with a sense of humor dry as desert wood, and that rare folksinger who actually sings about the folk.
