Polk Street Rag Lyrics

I was down on the east side
On a block with no name
When I walked in a movie
You were blue, I was game
Tell me, did you love it, baby?
Did you think your smile looked right?
Tell me when you came together
Was it in your mind 'cause it sure wasn't out of sightDidn't know when I entered
Second seat, second row
It was then that I saw you
But your mouth stole the showTell me, did you love it, baby?
Did you think your smile looked right?
Tell me when you came together
Was it in your mind 'cause it sure wasn't out of sightGot your name, got your number
Got your form on the line
I don't know who you're under
But I know it ain't mineTell me, did you love it, baby?
Did you think your smile looked right?

Tell me when you came together
Was it in your mind 'cause it sure wasn't out of sight

Barclay James Harvest are an English progressive rock band. They were founded in Saddleworth, Yorkshire, United Kingdom, in September 1966 by John Lees, Les Holroyd, Stuart "Woolly" Wolstenholme (1947–2010), and Mel Pritchard (1948–2004). They are best-known for their first four albums released in quick succession from 1970-1972. The Barclay James Harvest story begins in the early sixties in the Oldham area of North-West England. John Lees and Stuart “Woolly” Wolstenholme met at Oldham Art School, and formed a band called The Sorcerers, which evolved into The Keepers.
