Por el Amor a Mi Madre Lyrics

Por el amor a mi madre,
Voy a dejar la parranda,
Aunque me digan cobarde,
A mí no me importa nada.
Mi madrecita llorando,
Me dice que ya no tomé,
La vida se está acabando,
Y temo que me abandones.
Adiós botellas de vino,
Adiós mujeres alegres,
Adiós todos mis amigos,
Adiós los falsos quereres.
Por el amor a mi madre,
Haré cualquier sacrificio,
Antes de que sea muy tarde,
Voy a quitarme del vicio.
Se que no soy un cualquiera,
Si aún me vive mi madre,

Si no ahorita anduviera,
Como la pluma en el aire.
Adiós botellas de vino,
Adios mujeres alegres,
Adios todos mis amigos,
Adios los falsos quereres.

Cornelio Reyna Cisneros (born in Notillas, Coahuila, México on 15 September 1940 - 22 January 1997) was a Mexican Norteño singer and "Bajo sexto"-player, a popular bass guitar that superficially resembles a 12-string guitar. Cornelio Reyna formed a partnership with the legendary Ramón Ayala to create the famous duet called Los Relampagos Del Norte in 1963. The band stayed together for eight years and then in 1971, Reyna decided to pursue a solo career as a mariachi singer. His mariachi career was not as successful as music experts expected.
