Praying Lyrics

Well, you almost had me fooled
Tell me that I was nothing without you
And after everything you've done (ooh ooh)
I can thank you for how strong I have become'Cause you brought the flames and you put me through hell
I had to learn how to fight for myself
And we both know all the truth I could tell
I'll just say this is I wish you farewellI hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin'
I hope your soul is changin', changin'
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin'
I'm proud of who I am (ah ah ah ah)
No more monsters, I can breathe again
And you said that I was done (oh oh oh oh yeah)
You were wrong and now the best is yet to come
I can make it on my own (ooh ooh ooh)
I don't need you, I found a strength I've never known
I'll bring thunder, and I'll bring rain
When I'm finished, they won't even know your nameYou brought the flames and you put me through hell

I had to learn how to fight for myself
And we both know all the truth I could tell
I'll just say this is I wish you farewellI hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin'
I hope your soul is changin', changin'
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin'
Oh, sometimes I pray for you at night
Someday (someday), maybe you'll see the light (see the light)
Oh, some say, in life, you're gonna get what you give (get what you give)
But some things only God can forgiveI hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin'
I hope your soul is changin', changin'
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin'

Pentatonix are an a capella quintet from Arlington, Texas, and were the winners of the third season of "The Sing-Off" on NBC. Their members are Scott Hoying (lead), Kirstie Maldonado (female lead/harmony), Mitch Grassi (harmony), Kevin Olusola (percussion), and Avi Kaplan (bass). They specialize in futuristic sounds and techno-style pop. Their name is likely a play on both the pentatonic scale and the fact that there are 5 members in the group. The group's website is: www.ptxofficial.com.
