Price to Play Lyrics

Failed to see
How destructive we can be
Taking without giving back
'Til the damage can be seenCan you see?
Can you see?The more you take, the more you blame
But everything still feels the same
The more you hurt, the more you strain
The price you pay to play the gameThen all you see and all you gain
And all you step on with no shame
There are no rules, no one to blame
The price to play the gameApathy
The chosen way to be
Blindly look the other way
While you waste away with meCan you see?
Can you see?The more you take, the more you blame
But everything still feels the same
The more you hurt, the more you strain
The price you pay to play the gameThen all you see and all you gain

And all you step on with no shame
There are no rules, no one to blame
The price to play the gameWhat you pay to play the game?
What you pay to play the game?
What you pay to play the game?
What you pay to play the game? The more you take, the more you blame

Staind is an alternative metal band formed on November 24, 1995 in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. After meeting through friends and covering pop hits of the day in smalltime clubs for a year and a half, Staind self-released their debut album, Tormented, in November 1996, citing influences in brutal latin thrash metal. Until recently, the album was difficult to obtain, as only four thousand copies were originally sold. Since then, the band's official website has released the album to meet the demand from fans.
