Primitive Man Lyrics

Well, it happened after midnight
Fire burnin hot
The clan had all assembled
Fanned the flames of God
The witch doctor had spoken
The children hid in fear
The chief and all his warriors
They sacrificed the deerWell, you sing with me baby
The bravado for your soul
Top of the crooked honour
You know Im in control
See its dog eat dog
With the violence in the air
Lets keep it simple baby
You know damn well I careIm a primitive man
Doin what I canWell, Im a modern man from hell
With a duty on my mind
Takin care of family

You know the job is mine
King of my castle
Dont you dare tread on me
Cause if you cross that sacred line
Ill blow you all awayIm a primitive man
Doin what I canIm a primitive man
Doin what I canYou should have seen me comin
Was now all-free to go
Boys knew winter was comin
Buffalo drive movin with the wind
White man he had no spirit
Civilization, the curse of manCivilization, the curse of manIm a primitive man
Doin what I canIm a primitive man
Doin what I canIm a primitive man
Doin what I canWhoa, Whoa, Whoa, WhoaIm a primitive man
Doin the best I canWhoa, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa
Oh, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa
Ah, Ya, Oh, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa
Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa
Oh, Whoa, Oh, Whoa, Whoa
Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa
Oh, Whoa, Oh, Whoa, Whoa
Oh, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa
Ya Ya, Oh, Whoa
Oh Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, WhoaAh, Ya, Oh, Whoa, Whoa, Oh, Whoa
Oh, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa

Theodore Anthony "Ted" Nugent (born December 13, 1948) (aka "The Nuge", "Motor City Madman", "Uncle Ted" or just plain Ted) is a guitarist from Detroit, Michigan.

He originally gained fame as a guitarist for the The Amboy Dukes, a psychedelic rock band from the late 60's best known for their hit "Journey to the Center of Your Mind". In the 70's he went solo and had a string of hits including "Stranglehold", "Free For All", "Dog Eat Dog", "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang" and perhaps his best known song "Cat Scratch Fever".

In the 80's he even tried his hand at acting in a haunting episode of television's "Miami Vice". In 1989, he joined Tommy Shaw of Styx, Jack Blades of Night Ranger, and Michael Cartellone to form Damn Yankees, which produced 1990's chart toppers "Come Again" for Billboard's #1 and rock ballad "High Enough", backed by a string section in the studio and a popular video, reaching #3 on U.S. Hot 100, and #2 on AOR charts. More recently he has gained fame (and notoriety) for his support of hunting and his conservative political views. He is an important member of the NRA (National Rifle Association). He's written four books and released multiple studio albums.

Besides a regular reality type show on cable showcasing Ted's outdoorsman skills, his most recent foray in music was a reality television show SuperGroup that resulted in a band called Damnocracy. The band's other members were Sebastian Bach (formerly of Skid Row), Scott Ian (Anthrax) Jason Bonham ("Bonham", son of Zeppelin's John Bonham) and Evan Seinfeld (Biohazard).

Ted's latest album is titled Love Grenade and was released in 2008.
