Prisoner of Pride Lyrics

There's a time to feel and a time to fear
Turn around and walk away from here
There's no mystery, no catch if you will
Paralyze your paradise or the next man willWhere's your superstition now
All you true believers
Where's your so called sacred cow
Where is it nowOne small victory
And your soldiers all go home
It takes more than that
To trade your pieces for a wholeCircumstances force your hand
So you say, satisfy yourself
You'll live to die another daySell your only saving grace
You grand achiever
Nothing hurts like second place
I see it nowYour prisoner of pride, come on feel the rain
Come taste another kind of freedom
Your prisoner of pride, you conceal the pain
Come see the other side of freedom

Balance of Power was started in 1995 by keyboardist Ivan Gunn by putting together a handful of well-known rockers from the London area. This batch included drummer Lionel Hicks, bassist Chris Dale, vocalist Tony Ritchie, and guitarists Bill Yates and Paul Curtis. In 1996, this line-up started working on what would be their first album, When The World Falls Down. The album was picked up by the Japanese label "Pony Canyon", and was released in 1997. It received significant airplay on the Japanese radio, being on heavy rotation by famous Japanese radio personalities.
