Prodigal Lyrics

Love is a foreign word to you
It's something you used to know
Now you're wondering what to do
As the walls come crashing downI know someone who wants to rescue you
And I know someone who wants to carry your burdens
AwayAs you sit and wonder what to do
You hear His Spirit calling to you
As you sit and think that you're all alone
There's someone waiting for you to come homeYou wonder how you can heal
The loneliness inside
You sit there and you feel
That there's no one by your sideI know someone who never went away
And I know someone who is waiting for you to come back
TodayAs you sit and wonder what to do
You hear His Spriit calling to you
As you sit and think that you're all alone
There's someone waiting for you to come home
Come home...Calling to you to come home

Calling to you to come homeAs you sit and wonder what to do
You hear His Spriit calling to you
As you sit and think that you're all alone
There's someone waiting for you to come homeAs you sit and wonder what to do
You hear His Spirit calling to you
(I know someone who wants to rescue you)
As you sit and think that you're all alone
There's someone waiting for you to come home
(I know someone who wants to carry your burdens away)As you sit and wonder what to do
You hear His Spirit calling to you
(I know...)
As you sit and think that you're all alone
There's someone waiting for you to come home
(I know...)I know someone who never went away
And I know someone who is waiting for you to come back
Today

The Echoing Green is an electronica/synthpop band. It began as a solo project by Joey Belville in 1993, and has since released eleven major albums. While founder Belville is a devout Christian, it is difficult to apply the same label to the band itself; while the lyrics are at times clearly infused with a strong element of faith, they are not specifically based around praise and at no point could they be considered to be preaching a message.
