Promise Me Lyrics

I've seen the seven wonders
Of the world on display
I've seen the loveliest of girls
From London to L.A.
Oh but nothing and nobody
Compares to the beauty of you
There's no-one like you
So I take this time to make a pledge
Of a love that will always be true
Promise me your undying love
Together you and I
We'll watch the rest of the world pass us by
Promises are so easily broken
The moment they are spoken
But go ahead and promise me

I've known the pleasure and the pain
I've known them different
I know I'd rather win or lose
Than sit upon a fence
Oh but you are a winner
And I know that I can win with you
Ooh I know I can with you
So I'm gonna take this time to make a pledge
Of a love that will always be true, whoa, yeah
Promise me your undying love
Together you and I
We'll watch the rest of the world pass us by
Promises are so easily broken
The moment they are spoken
But go ahead and promise me
If we give it half a try
We can set the world on it's heels
Show them all just how
How two in love can be
How true a love can be, yeah, yeah
Oh so darling, take this time to make a pledge
Of a love that will always be true, ooh
Promise me your undying love
Together you and I
We'll watch the rest of the world pass us by
Promises are so easily broken
The moment they are spoken
But go ahead and promise me
Promise me your undying love
Together you and I
We'll watch the rest of the world pass us by
Promises are so easily broken
The moment they are spoken, go ahead and promise me
