Protection Lyrics

It wasn't perfection I was expecting when I met you
It's nearly midnight, girl, when the clock strikes, what do you turn back to?
And if I got used, it's all that I wanted, all that I wanted
For all that I knew I needed protection, now I need protection
From youHung out on your friends list to see who you went with and how they know you
Sent token gestures to serial texters in capital letters, the louder the better
You come for my queen, you better be loaded, create an explosion
The second you miss, you'll need protection, there'll be no protection
The broken mirror's not reflecting part of me
Can't see the future but I know it's got its eye on me
Cause you're all that I need and that's all as my world comes crashing down
When you're out of my reachI've seen the future, everyone's older and nobody's there for you
You spin off the rails chasing your tail as everything fails, do you want all the details?
I'm coming for you, changing your routine won't help you elude me
You'll never find proof, find some protection, cause you'll need protection
The broken mirror's not reflecting part of me
Can't see the future but I know it's got its eye on me
Cause you're all that I need, and that's all as my world comes crashing down

When you're out of my reach
