Puppets 2 (the Rain) Lyrics

I'm still not fucking over it
You play like violins in a broked fucking symphony
And I know this hurts to you
But I have no fucking sympathy
Infectious cold,
I've spent living with neglect
Yet I still can't let you go,
and I'm still not fucking over this
I know my suffering's what keeps you alive
And I know you fucking love it
6 years I fell for this love disguised in fucking misery
My sinking ship, will be the fucking death of me
You breathe only in withered lies
Your perversion of distrust
Now another full lenth down

And we're still not fucking over this
And when your eyes become the looking glass
Through which only reflect the fucking past
Conceived in poignant everlasting despair
You fell in love with the evil that you bare
I can't forgive
I won't forget
This dream was ours
But you ripped it to shreds
There's no escape
I can't reflect
The distance kills me
But your presence's a threat
You traded everything
For a life of broken promises
At 23 I've fallen out
When you left me with this bitterness
A frame of glass
And a love that'sbuilt for sorrow
Is a see through coffin
For a heart that beats so hollow
I know this eats you alive
That which doesn't kill you
Just fucks with your mind
I can't forgive
I won't forget
This dream was ours
But you ripped it to shreds
There's no escape
I can't reflect
The distance kills me
But your presence's a threat
I will stay with you
And cut right through
Through the essence
Of all that once was "like new"
Out of place
But you turned away
Leaving nothing
But a mess that you made
For too long I have lived
Just another slave bound by your torment
But I am not afraid anymore
I am not your fucking puppet
I am not your fucking puppet
The snow has turned to rain
so now I hope you're fucking happy
I can't forgive
I won't forget
This dream was ours
But you ripped it to shreds
There's no escape
I can't reflect
The distance kills me
But your presence's a threat
I will stay with you
And cut right through
Through the essence
Of all that once was "like new"
Out of place
But you turned away
Leaving nothing
But a mess that you made
6 years I've fell for this
Dead look on your face
When the rain has washed away,
What will be underneath
A midnight breeze,
Of Chilled unease
When we began amiss
The haunting scent
Of Autumn makes a
Scornful heat resist
A longing bliss
In carnal stints
Of thighs gracing
Betwixt your hips
The harvest moon drapes
Aloft these graven
Tattered Crypts
Please just let me go
And kiss the life from my lips
To show me a love
Not even death can resist
I am the boy
With a thorn in his side
And I'm still not fucking over it

The tale of Motionless In White’s conception begins in 2005. Forming in Scranton, Pennsylvania while still in high school, six friends – singer Chris “Motionless” Cerulli, guitarist/vocalist TJ Bell, guitarist Ryan Sitkowski, bassist Frank Polumbo, keyboardist Josh Balz, and drummer Angelo Parente - joined forces and got their start playing popular rock cover songs. By 2006, they had developed their own sound, blending heavier, darker elements into melodic tracks, and gaining inspiration from the likes of The Misfits, Bleeding Through, Cradle Of Filth, Marilyn Manson, The Smiths and Eighteen Visions to form Motionless In White.

With the release of debut EP The Whorror and two summers of wowing crowds with their high-octane show on dates of Vans Warped Tour, the band gained the attention of both independent and major record labels, including Fearless Records. The band signed to Fearless in December 2008, and set about recording their acclaimed second EP When Love Met Destruction, which was released in spring 2009.

After unleashing their debut full-length album Creatures, Motionless In White is poised to take center stage in their twisted audio carnival. Creatures is a writhing behemoth of an album. Mixing gothic and industrial influences with brutal breakdowns, intense riffs and soaring choruses, the album interweaves themes of lust and revenge with the band's passion for horror movies, myths and vampire culture.

One of the strongest parts of Motionless In White’s success story is their dedication to their fans. The band doesn’t take their following’s dedication lightly. The band named their full-length after their devoted fan base, which they affectionately call “Creatures”, to remind their supporters that despite their differences, they are bonded by music. The band even allowed their “Creatures” to contribute to the album, creating the title track entirely of fan lyrics.

The band was named as one of Alternative Press’ Bands You Need To Know in 2010, is one of Revolver Magazine’s Bands To Watch in the November/December 2010 issue, and has upcoming features in U.S. and international music press outlets including AOL Noisecreep, Ultimate-Guitar, AMP, Substream, Rock Sound and Kerrang!, plus horror publications Rue Morgue, Fangoria, Bloody-Disgusting, Zombie Popcorn and FEARnet.

The band has already toured the U.S. with the likes of Asking Alexandria, Bleeding Through, In This Moment and Drop Dead, Gorgeous, Black Veil Brides and A Skylit Drive. After completing their tour with Escape the Fate and Alesana in early 2011, South By SouthWest beckoned and Motionless in White was all too happy to answer. One of the featured players at the Shirts for a Cure Day Party, the band expanded their fan base even further at the popular festival.

With an incredible work ethic and a dedication to practicing their craft, Motionless In White has completed their line up with the addition of new bassist Ricky Horror and emerged as a group of stunning musicians. Motionless In White is poised at the center of a perfect storm, and ready to take fans by the throat in 2011.

Creatures is out now on Fearless Records.
