Pussy Walk Lyrics

The other day I was walking down 14th Street
It was a beautiful summer day, the sun was shining
And I found myself surrounded
By Latin American and dark womenAnd as I looked at their ankles and their knees and their thighs
And the curve of their bodies and their mysterious eyes
I couldn't help but thinking about their pussies
And I asked myselfCan your pussy walk, can your pussy talk
Can your pussy smile, can your pussy frown
Can your pussy prance, can your pussy dance
Can your pussy walk, can your pussy talk
Pussy, pussy walkNow you know from time to time
My musical group and I have occasion to visit
The high schools and Jr. high schools and other centers of learning
In this wonderful land of the United States of AmericaAnd when I do, from time to time
I run into the young girls who attend these places
And I see them smiling at me and their young girl clothes
And while I smile back and I never say anything, inside I'm thinkingCan your pussy walk, can your pussy talk
Can your pussy smile, can your pussy frown

Can your pussy love, can your pussy shove
Can your pussy dance, can your pussy prance
Pussy, pussy walkAnd then of course now all you men can relate to this
How sometimes you're supposed to go out of the house
And get something done
Like you're supposed to go to the store or somethingAnd just go get a bottle of milk or, or just go to your job
And do it good and come back home
But on your way, my God there's a girl
And there's another girl and another girlPretty soon you're surrounded
And your eyes are going one way
And your head is going another way
And your nose is going upAnd your nose is going down
And you're thinking about that pussy
And it's become a real distraction
And you've gotta ask yourselfCan your pussy walk, can your pussy talk
Can your pussy smile, can your pussy frown
Can your pussy dance, can your pussy prance
Can your pussy love, can your pussy shove
Alright pussy, pussy walkNow walk it now, yeah
Pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy walk
Pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy walk
Pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy walk
Pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy walkPussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy, pussy
Pussy, pussy one more time
Pussy, pussy walk

James Newell Osterberg, Jr (born 21st April 1947 in Muskegon, Michigan, United States), better known by his stage name Iggy Pop, is a rock singer and occasional actor. Pop is one of the most important innovators of punk rock. Also referred to as "the Godfather of Punk" and "the Rock Iguana", he is widely acknowledged as one of the most dynamic stage performers of rock.

Pop was the lead singer of The Stooges, a late 1960s/early 1970s band that featured brothers Ron and Scott Asheton and Dave Alexander and was highly influential in the development of hard rock. The debut album was produced by the Velvet Underground's John Cale. The band's "I Wanna Be Your Dog" is a garage punk standard.

Raw Power was first released in1973, perhaps the first record that could truly be called punk. It was the confluence of The Stooges ages, hormones, creativity, ability, experience, tastes, lack of supervision, contempt for authority and ambition that has made Raw Power one of the most influential albums of all time.

The Stooges were infamous for performances in which Pop leapt off the stage (hence, the "stage dive"), smeared raw meat or peanut butter over his chest and cut himself with broken bottles. A glimpse of the vibrating intensity of Iggy live can be seen in the Ramones movie "End of the Century." Guitarist James Williamson became a key collaborator, a partnership documented on the 1978 album Kill City.

In 25 years as a solo artist, Pop's best-known songs have included the thumping Lust For Life, to be heard on the soundtrack of the find-a-vein, shoot-it-up movie Trainspotting, I'm Bored and The Passenger (the latter based on a poem written by Jim Morrison). David Bowie played a key role in reinvigorating Pop's post-Stooges career and was a collaborator on the albums Lust For Life and The Idiot. Iggy may be under-rated as a songwriter. Bowie and Tina Turner covered his "Tonight". Bowie also put out his own version of "China Girl," while Grace Jones covered the icey "Nightclubbing".
