Queen Of The Go-Go Girls Lyrics

Darlin' you know I'm leavin' in the mornin'
And it's true I might not be comin' back
But you don't need to go into mournin'
Because for love you will never lack(Chorus)'Cause you're the Queen of the Go-Go Girls
You're laughin' while you work
But I don't ever seem to get the joke
You're smilin' at all the guys
In the shadows where they lurk
Gazing through their cigarette smokeWell I've had a good time hangin' with you baby
In your fantasy world I've learned a lot
And I can't say that I won't miss you baby
And all the royal treatment that I got(Chorus)Well I guess I'll be goin' now I'm leavin'
But I won't forget the way you treated me
Don't give me too much of that cryin'
I know you'll be happy that you're freeCause you're the Queen of the Go-Go Girls
You're laughin' while you work
But I don't really see what's so funny
You're smilin' at all the guys

In the shadows where they lurk
So I'll just have to see you later honey
Yeah you're smilin' at all the guys
In the shadows where they lurk
So I'll just have to see you later honey

Mudcrutch was an early Tom Petty band, most of which evolved into Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. When Mudcrutch originally headed to Hollywood in search of their first record deal, the band consisted of Tom Petty, Mike Campbell, Danny Roberts, Benmont Tench and Randall Marsh. They signed with "Shelter Records" and released one single in 1975. "Depot Street" was the A-side with "Wild Eyes" being the B-side.
