Quicksand Lyrics

Im closer to the golden dawn
I cant believe the wagons gone
Its historyIm living in a callous realm
Where others seem to dig it
Just too much realityIm frightened by the total goal
Im drawing to the ragged hole
And I aint got the wagon anymore
No, I aint got the wagon anymoreIm the twisted name on Uma's eyes
Im living proof of Cindys lies
Of destinyIm drawn between the light and dark
Where others see their targets
I cant see anythingShould I leave the engine on
To listen to that mountain song
Sinking in the quicksand of my thoughts
And I aint got the wagon anymoreDont believe in yourself, dont deceive with belief
The knowledge comes with deaths releaseNot too stable hanging by a string
Cant face the thoughts, no wheels will bring
I gotta goIts bad enough being at home

Without the way to leave the damage
Is gonna showIf I dont explain what you oughta know
You can tell me all about it at the next ball show
Im sinking in the quicksand of my thoughts
And I aint got this power anymoreDont believe in yourself, dont deceive with belief
The knowledge comes with deaths releaseDont believe in yourself, dont deceive with belief
The knowledge comes with deaths releaseDont believe in yourself, dont deceive with belief
The knowledge comes with deaths release

Dinosaur Jr. is a rock band which formed in 1983 in Amherst, Massachusetts. The band was formed by J Mascis (guitar and vocals) and his high school classmate Lou Barlow (bass guitar), following the break-up of their hardcore punk band Deep Wound. Shortly afterwards, Murph (Emmett Patrick Murphy, drums) joined them. The band was originally called "Dinosaur", but changed its name following the release of its debut album Dinosaur in 1985, after a band called Dinosaurs, featuring ex-members of Country Joe and the Fish and Jefferson Airplane, threatened them with legal action.
