Quitter Lyrics

Didn't I give you everything?
Didn't I take you where you want to be?
Didn't I make you feel just like a queen?
And all that time I thought that
I was gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
Look me in the eye and tell me somethin'
Am I supposed to walk away with nothin'?
Do I convince myself we never happened?
Well, I guess I won't be denied
I'm gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
I'm gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right

Gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
Now
Lover
Ya happy now?
Quitter
Quitter
In the coming days the dust will cover
All the evidence of your worst power
I hope wherever you are now you wake up
See the squad a mess, you're made of this
I was gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
I was gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
Gettin' somethin' right
Yeah
Lover
Ya happy now?
Quitter
Quitter

Toadies are an alternative rock band from Fort Worth, Texas. The band's best known lineup consisted of Vaden Todd Lewis (guitar, vocals) Mark Reznicek (drums), Lisa Umbarger (bass), and Clark Vogeler (guitar). When the band reformed in 2006, Umbarger amicably declined to participate and has been replaced by Doni Blair. They are best known for the hit single "Possum Kingdom," from their album Rubberneck. This song was named after Possum Kingdom State Park, in Palo Pinto County, Texas.
