Rain and Snow Lyrics

Well, I married me a wife
Gave me trouble all my life
Ran me out in the cold rain and snow
Now she's coming down the stairs
Combing back her yellow hair
And her cheeks are as red as a rose
As a rose, as a rose
And her cheeks are as red as a rose
She went up to her room
Where she sang a fateful tune
Saying I can't get along with you
And I ain't got no use
For your red apple juice
And I'm not gonna be treated this way
This way, this way
And I'm not gonna be treated this way

I see you sitting in the shed
Counting every dime I made
Now I'm broke and I'm so hungry too
Yes, I married me a wife
Gave me trouble all my life
Now I'm going where those stray winds don't go
Winds don't go, winds don't go
Now I'm going where those stray winds don't go
Rain and snow, rain and snow
Ran me out in the cold rain and snow
Rain and snow, rain and snow
Ran me out in the cold
Rain and snow
Rain and snow, rain and snow
Ran me out in the cold rain and snow

There is more than one artist with this name, an Irish folk band as well as a French rock band: 1. Irish jigs abound, as well as some subtle influences from modern rock and jazz. They have been hailed as the greatest folk band in the world today. Formed in 1996, the band's original lineup consisted of Seamus Egan (flute, tenor banjo, mandolin, tin whistle/low whistle, guitar, bodhrán), Winifred Horan (fiddle), John Doyle (guitar), John Williams (accordian), and Karan Casey (lead vocals). Over the years, only Egan and Horan have stayed with the band.
