Rainbow At Midnight (Re-Recorded) Lyrics

After the war was over
I was coming home to you
I saw a rainbow at midnight
Out on the ocean blueThe stars in heaven were shining
The moon gave its light from above
I saw your face in this rainbow
And it made me think of our love
[Incomprehensible]We'll build a home in the country
And make all our dreams come true
There we will make a heaven
Sweetheart, for just we twoHere we will live so happy
And have a baby or two
We'll name them after the rainbow
Because it reminds me of you
[Incomprehensible]

Ernest Dale Tubb (February 9, 1914 – September 6, 1984), nicknamed the Texas Troubadour, was an American singer and songwriter and one of the pioneers of country music. His biggest career hit song, "Walking the Floor Over You" (1941), marked the rise of the honky tonk style of music. In 1948, he was the first singer to record a hit version of "Blue Christmas", a song more commonly associated with Elvis Presley and his mid-1950s version.
