Raw Hide Lyrics

Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rawhide, ha, haKeep rollin', rollin', rollin'
Though the streams are swollen
Keep them dogies rollin', rawhide
Through rain and wind and weather
Hell bent for leather
Wishin' my gal was by my sideAll the things I'm missin'
Good vittles, love and kissin'
Are waitin' at the end of my rideMove 'em out, head 'em up
Head 'em up, move 'em on
Move 'em out, head 'em up
RawhideCut 'em out, ride 'em in
Ride 'em in, cut 'em out
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in
Rawhide, ha, haKeep movin', movin', movin'

Though they're disapprovin'
Keep them dogies movin', rawhide
Don't try to understand 'em
Just rope an' throw an' brand 'em
Soon we'll be livin' high and wideMy heart's calculatin'
My true love will be waitin'
Waitin' at the end of my rideMove 'em out, head 'em up
Head 'em up, move 'em on
Move 'em out, head 'em up
RawhideCut 'em out, ride 'em in
Ride 'em in, cut 'em out
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in
Rawhide
(Rollin', rollin', rollin')
(Rollin', rollin', rollin')Ha
(Rollin', rollin', rollin')
Ha
(Rollin', rollin', rollin')Rawhide, ha
Rawhide

Bill Monroe (September 13, 1911 – September 9, 1996) developed the style of country music known as bluegrass, which takes its name from his band, the "Blue Grass Boys," named for his home state of Kentucky. Monroe's performing career spanned 60 years as a singer, instrumentalist, composer and bandleader. He is often referred to as "the father of bluegrass." In the rock (and roll) community, Bill Monroe may be best known via one of Elvis Presley's earliest recordings at Sun Records, that of Monroe's 'Blue Moon of Kentucky'. Patsy Cline also made a highly regarded version of this song.
