Rawhide Lyrics

Some people like to rock
Some people like to roll
But movin' and a groovin'
Is gonna satisfy my soulLet's have a party
Ooh, let's have a party
Send him to the store
Let's buy some more
Let's have a party tonightI've never kissed a bear
I've never kissed a goon
But I can shake a chicken
In the middle of the roomLet's have a party
Ooh, let's have a party
Send him to the store
Let's buy some more
Let's have a party tonightNow Honky Tonky Joe
Is knockin' at my door
Bring him in and fill him up
And sit him on the floorLet's have a party

Ooh, let's have a party
Send him to the store
Let's buy some more
Let's have a party tonightThe meat is on the stove
The bread is gettin' hot
Everybody come and taste
The possum Poppa shotLet's have a party
Ooh, let's have a party
Send him to the store
Let's buy some more
Let's have a party tonightOh, we're really gonna
Have a party tonight

Frederick Lincoln "Link" Wray Jr (May 2, 1929 – November 5, 2005) was an American rock and roll guitarist, songwriter and occasional singer. Wray was noted for pioneering a new sound for electric guitars, as exemplified in his hit 1958 instrumental "Rumble", by Link Wray and his Ray Men, which pioneered an overdriven, distorted electric guitar sound, and also for having "invented the power chord, the major modus operandi of modern rock guitarist," "and in doing so fathering," or making possible, "punk and heavy rock".
