Ready Lyrics

You tell me that you're ready but you just don't know
My eyes are getting heavy and it's starting to show
I'd never seen it coming, never seen a thing
Maybe I'll get through whatever's coming to me'Cause I've been so lucky, I don't know what to say
I'm running out of money, I've been wasting away
I'd never seen it coming, never seen a thing
Maybe I'll get through whatever's coming to meWe fall (we fall down)
If we fall (we fall down)
If we fall down hard I'll be ready to crawlAndI'm ready, I'm ready for it
I'm ready, I'm ready for it
I'm ready, I'm ready for it allLook me in the eye when I'm talking to you
It's easy to get nervous, I've been feeling it too
Yeah it's kinda crazy, yeah it's kinda dumb
Never let the pressure overpower the funYeah I'm sure your parents probably said it to you
Follow what you love and you will love what you do
Never let the pressure tell you that you're not
Capable of being anything that you wantWe fall (we fall down)
If we fall (we fall down)

If we fall down hard I'll be ready to crawlAndI'm ready, I'm ready for it
I'm ready, I'm ready for it
I'm ready, I'm ready for it all
[x2][instrumental]I'm ready, I'm ready for it
I'm ready, I'm ready for it
I'm ready, I'm ready for it all
[x2]Look me in the eye when I'm talking to you
It's easy to get nervous, I've been feeling it too
Yeah it's kinda crazy, yeah it's kinda dumb
Never let the pressure overpower the funI'm ready, I'm ready for it
I'm ready, I'm ready for it
I'm ready, I'm ready for it all

Growing up in houses just two minutes away from each other in Swords, a working class town near Dublin airport, Steve and Mark met aged eight, when they were the only boys in the school choir. Skip forward six years and they recruited Vinny, also situated a stones throw away and together set about forming the first of myriad bands. The line-up for Kodaline was recently completed by the addition of bassist Jason Boland. The band's name, incidentally, means absolutely nothing. For the moment they wanted something they could take ownership of.
