Rebel Song Lyrics

The stain of these times
Cuts right into our lives
These conflict days they kill
They wear us down
Blood stains the groundThe belt it has tightened
The green has gone thin
Recession speak is spreading
We hear the sound of fear spun roundThey say to stay calm, we know better
The rich staying rich the upsetter
Organize you working poor
What are you what are you waiting for?
Let's take a chance and tear it down
What are you waiting for
Come on along, roll with the strong
And kick this rebel songWe're battered and torn from going along
The pain of sacrifice runs over us
Who can we trust
This system it uses corrupts and abuses

Every person in itFor far too long
So much is wrongThey say to stay calm, we know better
The rich staying rich the upsetter
Organize you working poor
What are you waiting forThey say to stay calm, we know better
The rich staying rich the upsetter
Organize you working poor
What are you what are you waiting forLet's take a chance and tear it down
What are you waiting for
Come on along, roll with the strong
And kick this rebel song
Our time has come to rise above
This climate of defeat
Come rally round the people's sound
And kick this rebel songFailure to quit will be our cry
The odds are tough but we must try
To take action do what we can
To take it back this is our landTake a chance and tear it down
What are you waiting for
Come on along, roll with the strong
And kick this rebel song
Our time has come to rise above
This climate of defeat
Come rally round the people's sound
And kick this rebel song

Street Dogs is a punk rock band hailing from Boston, Massachusetts. The lead singer is Mike McColgan, former lead singer of Dropkick Murphys. In 1998, McColgan left Dropkick Murphys, after releasing their first full-length record, Do or Die, to pursue a life-long dream of becoming a firefighter for the Boston Fire Department. Street Dogs formed in 2002 after McColgan decided he could no longer stay away from music.
