Red Intro Lyrics

Yo, this fucker I was wit the other day, I was chillin'
With scott and the minute that we got in front of our
Crib with a shotgun. cause jokers gonna be bustin' up
In there trying to get food, clothing, shelter, tv's, forks,
Radios or whatever they can get there hands on. shit
Is getting mad ill out here man. joker's running out here
Like with masks on; I was with my man pee, he think
He like charlie chan or robert de niro
Or bruce lee or some shit, jumping from behind trees on
Muhfuckas, like cowboys bang bang or whatever you
Know. trying to shoot a joker he had beef with, he wound
Up shootin my man up in the street, tyring to be cowboys
They can't even shoot, trying to be gangsta's but when the
Beast come on the muthafuckin' block everybody break out.
They beat my man bob g. up the other day, cops, pigs vampin'
On him, everybody just standin' around just watching that
Shit take place. cause they only gangsta's when it comes to

Being gangsta's to themselves. they want to be corleone, luigi,
Or gambino or gotti or whatever the fuck. they run around callin'
Themselves rahiem or fuquan or mustapha cause we think they
Got power, but fuck them, I got power. I got power, I got family,
I got family business on avon, on chancellor, on prince street
On chadwick, on stratford on chancellor on vailsburg. all of the
Brick city. that's my family, we gonna settle the score, once
And for all. I'm not lettin' nobody I'm going out like
A bandit. and all of these zealots trying to steal and trying to
Bite what I got like all of these big record companies, these
Corporations these stores they try to rob me. naw man, I'm going,
I'm a get mine. me and my girl we gonna go out together
We gonna be a soldier kid. when I go out, she go out. and we
Gonna make what we believe manifest cause if you ain't ready
Now, you ain't never gonna be ready . . .
I'm always ready.

House of Heroes creates a unique and new breed of music: verging on the safe line of pop-punk rock and blending the dangerousness of indie-style rock. They are composed of members Tim Skipper (lead vocals, guitar), A.J. Babcock (bgv's and bass), Colin Rigsby (bgv's and drums), and Jared Rigsby (bgv's and guitar).

House of Heroes doesn't just sing songs, they tell stories. Songs like "In the Valley of the Dying Sun"(telling a version of the story of Jacob in the bible) and "Code Name: Raven"(the story of a spy in the time of World War II) draw listeners in by setting stories of love, sacrifice, and war to a non-specific song set-up and engaging music. Other songs, like "Friday Night", "Faces", or "The Drugs the Drugs" show the emptiness of man's meaningless desires. Distinguished lyrics and music that backs it up, pushing it forward, give listeners a unique experience. A band not scared of being different, House of Heroes certainly distinguishes themselves from the bunch.

Releases include: "What You Want Is Now", with tracks like "Julia", "The Lead Role In The Cage", and strings-backed "Uncomfortable" make the album House of Heroes's most rock-lead album. Self- titled "House of Heroes" and "Say No More" ( a re-release of the first with extra songs) posess the most edgy, indie-rock sound, lead by songs "Buckets For Bullet Wounds", "Serial Sleepers", "You Are the Judas of the Cheerleading Squad", and 9 minute closer "Angels In Top Hats." 2010 release "The End Is Not the End" gets its name from the lyrics in the acoustic driven song "By Your Side" of the album. Tracks like "In the Valley of the Dying Sun", "Leave You Now", and epic-like "Field of Daggers" make an argument to "The End..." being the band's most creative album yet. Their most recent release, "Suburba," continues the creative trend with the rock sound of "Independance Day for a Petty Thief" to the beautiful worship anthem "Salt in the Sea." Other releases include the holiday song "Silent Night", DC Talk cover "Day By Day", and the band's most different output, "The Acoustic End EP", which includes the acoustic version of the song "If'" (from "the End Is Not the End"),"New Moon", and "Ghost." A well-worked "Serial Sleepers (Acoustic)" is available for free on freehoh.com. The band has also released "Meets the Beatles EP" which includes three Beatles cover: "Can't Buy Me Love", "It Won't Be Long", and "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da."
Rumours from the band's facebook page indicate a new EP coming sometime soon.
