Red Light Lyrics

It's really no use your crying those crocodile tears
Don't make lying a game that you can win
You're bound to lose againWhen I first found out that you'd cheated I felt like finding out
And messing up the one who was to blame
But he was just a nameI saw the red light in your window
Read your alias on the doorYou've been a really bad girl babe the way that you've been putting it about
You've been a really naughty little girl but I can't bring myself to put you out
I've seen the teeth marks and the capital gains
Who gives a damn here's my share, take my heart and keep the changeI've seen the bracelet and the diary of names
Who gives a damn here's my share, take my heart and keep the
Change if you can do without the things I can't get you
Mink coats, diamond rings and cash for you to burn
The kind of stuff you earn
Fact is woman I'm in love with you
A paradox, I'm hooked on a hooker but I'm quite prepared to pay
As long as you will stay
Saw the red light in your window
Read your alias on the door

Greenslade is an English progressive rock band originally formed in 1972 by Dave Greenslade (keyboards & vocals), Tony Reeves (bass), Dave Lawson (keyboards & vocals) and Andrew McCulloch (drums). Their two-keyboard, no-guitar lineup distinguished them from other bands in the genre. Greenslade and Reeves had been original members of Colosseum. Lawson was previously a member of Samurai and McCulloch was briefly a member of King Crimson, playing drums on that band's third album, Lizard (1970).
