Red River Dam Blues Lyrics

I've been rollin' and ramblin'
Mama, ever since you been gone
I've been rollin' and ramblin'
Ever since you been gone
Lord, I can't be satisfied
And can't even stay at homeBaby, you's a long time comin'
But you are all welcome home
You may be a long time comin'
Mama, you are welcome home
Lord, I missed you so much
Ever since you been goneBeat out one, boyI'm gonna build me scaffold
Down by Red River Dam
I'm gonna build me scaffold
Down by Red River Dam
I may hang myself down there
Where people don't know who I amEver since you been gone
My life don't seem the same
Ever since you been gone

My life don't seem the same
It break my heart to hear
Someone Ellis call yo' nameBeat it out, beat it boy, beat itI'll have hanged
