Red-Letter Day Lyrics

There she goes
With her rain coloured clothes
And a heart that never beat so strong
Well I suppose
Isn't it a shame
That I should let her walk away
Without a chance to say goodbye
On red-letter dayIf I had loved the cross
The string that held it soft and careful Place beside her heart
That never stopped
I never stopped to seeIf I had the chance
To change that solitary thing
To keep her here
To keep her safe
To ask her please
Dont walk awayIf I could tie the hands of time
And try to photograph
The empty laugh

That made you cry
To see how much I didn't care

Kieran Goss (born 18 May 1962 in Mayobridge, County Down, Northern Ireland) is considered to be one of Ireland's most romantic singer/songwriters. He recorded his first album, Brand New Star, in 1989. It contained the songs "Brand New Star" and "Just Around The Corner" which came to the attention of Mary Black who recorded both songs. His 1998 album, Worse Than Pride, contained the Irish Top 10 single "Out Of My Head", the second most played song on Irish radio that year.
