Replaced Lyrics

I feel like hell
I'm all over the place
Can't believe I'm seeing you in this random space
You know I miss you do you believe in fateIf you think the universe is so big and vast
Don't want to be alone you moved on too fast
I didn't catch his name just trying to catch my breathOf course it's you I see when walking down the street Maybe the world is telling me it's never easySo listen up my heart is stuck
I know that I've been replaced
I've had enough
I tried to love
Keep coming back to this place
I want to be free and let you fly away
Just see your smile
Upon your face
It's the hardest part of being replacedI heard you moved in wasn't that our plan
Still wake up in the morning and I reach for your hand
I felt chemistry I don't understand
Most days I sleep in, see more night than day
I had all the answers

Now the questions have changed
It's a running joke that I can't escapeSo listen up
My heart is stuck
I know that I've been replaced
I've had enough
I tried to love
Keep coming back to this place
I want to be free and let you fly away
Just see your smile
Upon your face
It's the hardest part of being replacedIt's never easy
It's never easyOf course it's you I see when walking down the street maybe the world is telling me it's never easySo listen up
My heart is stuck
I know that I've been replaced
I've had enough
I tried to love
Keep coming back to this place
I wanna be free and let you fly away
Just see your smile
Upon your face
It's the hardest part of being replaced

Zachary Barnett (vocals), James Adam Shelley (guitar/banjo), Matt Sanchez (drums), and Dave Rublin (bass) started the band "American Authors" Boston, Massachusetts in 2012, but soon moved to Brooklyn, New York. As their band name suggests, this quartet writes stories through their music to share their struggles, high and lows, and changes. Soon after forming, American Authors caught the attention of Island Records, which signed the band to a record deal.
