Resisting the Current Lyrics

Did you come to witness my downfall
Did you come to see my demise
Did you come to witness my downfall
Did you come to see my demiseBack to where the mothership landed
Back to where the panic arose
Back to all that I once transcended
Back to where the innocence boundsAnd the door is always open
And the paths were always
Dragging me down beneath the ways
Watch me step away
All I need is a new heart beating
And I'm ready to die again
All I need is to hear your breathing
And I'm ready to follow you down
All the way right to the very end
As I die again... end as I die again.I have tried resisting the current
Downed my feet deep down in the dirts
I have tried to live with the silence

But it cuts much deeper than words
I have tried to find a way to
Make your name unspoken
I have tried to reach the surface
Just before the tideAnd the door is always open
And the paths were always
Dragging me down beneath the ways
Watch me step away
All I need is a new heart beating
And I'm ready to die again
All I need is to hear your breathing
And I'm ready to follow you down
All the way right to the very...(solo)All I need is a new heart beating
And I'm ready to die again
All I need is to hear your breathing
And I'm ready to follow you downAll I need is a new heart beating
And I'm ready to die again
All I need is to hear your breathing
And I'm ready to follow you down
All the way right to the very...

Soilwork is a swedish melodic death metal band formed in late 1995, originally under the name Inferior Breed in Helsingborg, Sweden. In 1996, they changed their name to Soilwork to better fit their new sound. Their unique sound is a fusion of the classic gothenburg metal sound with power-groove riffs of late 1970s, early 1980s British, and European metal, but in their most recent albums they have also introduced elements from American alternative metal and adopted a more melodic attitude.
