Rest In Pieces Lyrics

Look at me, my depth perception must be off again
'Cause this hurts deeper than I thought it did
It has not healed with time
It just shot down my spine
You look so beautiful tonight
Remind me how you laid us down
And gently smiled before you destroyed my lifeWould you find it in your heart?
To make this go away
And let me rest in pieces (Let me rest in pieces)Would you find it in your heart?
To make this go away
And let me rest in pieces (Let me rest in pieces)Look at me, my depth perception must be off again
You got much closer than I thought you did
I'm in your reach
You held me in your handsWould you find it in your heart?
To make this go away
And let me rest in pieces (Let me rest in pieces)Would you find it in your heart?
To make this go away
And let me rest in pieces (Let me rest in pieces)Would you find it in your heart?

To make this go away
And let me rest in piecesWould you find it in your heart?
To make this go away
And let me rest in piecesWould you find it in your heart?
To make this go away
And let me rest in pieces (Let me rest in pieces)Would you find it in your heart?
(Would you find it in your heart, would you let me rest in pieces?)

The group was formed in September 1996 in Memphis, Tennessee. While Memphis was an unlikely place for a grunge / nü-metal band, Saliva was able to follow in the tradition of crafting hard rock songs in radio-friendly format popularized by the likes of Creed and Nickelback. After competing in the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences Grammy Showcase competition, where they advanced to the final round in New York City, the group self-released their self-titled debut album which sold over 10,000 copies in their region, prompting Island Records to take notice.
