Restrain Lyrics

Get on down off your ladder, come out from the rain
Can't you see that there's no one to blame?
I got that feelin' that we're playin' the same old game
You better get on the run 'cause you know it's no funRestrain yourselfCan you tell me is it for certain or does it depend
Upon a feelin' that refuses to bend?
Victim of circumstance you'll say to the end
And you pay no mind you just watch it pass byRestrain yourself
Till you can't restrain no moreCan you tell me why is it you sigh?
Is it because of a need you deny?
So come on up and deliver what you really know
Maybe discover what it feels like to growBut you're just a mirror
Reflecting a show
Quiet on the scene now
Come out and take a bowDon't restrain yourself
Restrain yourself
Till you can't restrain no more
Till you can't restrain no moreRestrain no more
(Restrain)

(Restrain)
Restrain no more
(Restrain)
No more
(Restrain)
No more

Poco, founded in 1968 by Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Richie Furay and Jim Messina (both inducted 1997 with Buffalo Springfield), was one of the earliest in the "country rock" genre that was later commercially popularized by bands such as the Eagles. The band was completed by Rusty Young (pedal steel guitar, dobro, banjo and mandolin) Randy Meisner on bass and George Grantham on drums. Poco's 1969 debut, "Pickin' Up the Pieces" (the title being a reference to the break-up of Buffalo Springfield), received some critical acclaim but generated very litttle enthusiasm commercially.
