Right Back Here Lyrics

Temptations got me doing the wrong thing
And I wanna do right by my baby girl
Cause I know she deserves it
But something's always pulling me back, me back
I'm making the same mistakes all over again
I'm digging myself a grave
Making a bigger hole
Where all my skeletons are making their home
And if it gets out, I know that it's over
So when will I close all of these doors
Everytime I tell myself I'm gonna change
I end up right back [x2]
And everytime I say I'm getting out the game
I end up right back [x2]
It's like the more I try to change, the more I stay the same
I'm tryna find my place, it's driving me insane
Everytime I tell myself I'm gonna change
I end up right back, it's like I'll always end up right here

I'm sitting there trynna figure out what I'm gon' do
All this back and forward ain't cool
Tired of making her play the fool
It's about the thousandth time and she's heard the same story
And I know she's tired of hearing it, 'cause I'm tired of telling it
And oh, I don't wanna break her heart no more
But I don't know what to do
If I leave her she'll be crushed
But if I keep messing up
Man I'ma lose my baby anyway
Everytime I tell myself I'm gonna change
I end up right back [x2]
And everytime I say I'm getting out the game
I end up right back [x2]
It's like the more I try to change, the more I stay the same
I'm tryna find my place, it's driving me insane
Everytime I tell myself I'm gonna change
I end up right back, it's like I'll always end up right here
Baby tell me what to do, I don't really wanna leave
But the leave pain is temporary, it's me staying that's really scary
I can't keep chipping at your heart
Soon it's gonna fall apart
But I'm sure you don't understand it
But I'm setting up the next man
Now would you feel much better off if I was to walk out the door
Don't wanna cause you anymore frustration than I had before
This time I'm gonna be a man about it and go
Need to find out where my heart is at 'cause I don't know no more
Everytime I tell myself I'm gonna change
I end up right back [x2]
And everytime I say I'm getting out the game
I end up right back [x2]
It's like the more I try to change, the more I stay the same
I'm tryna find my place, it's driving me insane
Everytime I tell myself I'm gonna change
I end up right back, it's like I'll always end up right here
Everytime I tell myself I'm gonna change
I end up right back [x2]
And everytime I say I'm getting out the game
I end up right back [x2]
It's like the more I try to change, the more I stay the same
I'm tryna find my place, it's driving me insane
Everytime I tell myself I'm gonna change
I end up right back, it's like I'll always end up right here
