Right in the Middle Lyrics

If you always do what youve always done
Youll always get the same old stuff
Life can treat you good, then turn as cold as ice
And believe me when I tell you
This thing called love, for sure is like most things in lifeNot all bad, not all good
(Its just something that I believe)
Not all cold, not all hot
(Yeah, I like that, not all hot)Not all bitter, not all sweet
(Sounds all right to me)
So dont miss all the good, waiting for the best
Theres still happiness, right in the middlePerfect love sounds real nice
But that never seemed to happen
With any relationship of mine
It was always up and down, in then outAnd after the last goodbye
I still didnt know what it was all about
You get disappointed if it aint bliss all the time
And you get so annoyed
It cant feel the same every night, love itNot all bad, not all good

(Im tryin to tell you that its)
Not all high, not all low
(Not all high and not all low)Not all heaven, not all hell
And as far as I, as far as I can tell
Its not some prize you win
You dont have a thing to prove
Just enjoy the groove right in the middleCause Ive learned when it comes to love
Its the exact same reality
Thats why they say, Que sera, sera
Which means, whatevers gonna be is gonna be
Whatevers gonna be is gonna be
Whatevers gonna be is gonna beNot all bad, not all good
(I need somebody to understand)
Not all sunshine, not all rain
(You know that too much of a good thing is really no good)Not all laughter, not all tears
(Im only trying to tell you)
To let your good times roll, keep your self control
And theres a lotta soul, right in the middleRight in the middle
In the middle, in the middle
Right in the middle
Right in the middleIt's right in there, baby
Don't you know?
Don't you know?
Right in the middleIn the middle, in the middle, in the middle
Right in the middle
Right in the middleMiddle, middle, middle
Right in the middle

Luther Ronzoni Vandross (April 20, 1951 - July 1, 2005) was an american soul and rnb singer whose career spanned four decades.

In the 70s, he worked as a backing singer Chic and for David Bowie (on the Young Americans album). He later found success as a solo artist with Superstar and A House Is Not A Home.

In the 80s, Vandross was a vocalist on early Change singles (Searching), whilst continuing his solo career with such releases as "Never Too Much", "Power Of Love/Love Power", "If Only For One Night", "Here And Now".

In the 90s, he was more famous for duets with Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey (amongst others), than for his solo work.

It was an ongoing battle with his weight that may have ultimately proved his undoing. He suffered a stroke in 2003, from which he never really recovered, and died in 2005.

During his career, he sold 25 million albums and won eight Grammy awards including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance four times. He won four Grammy awards in 2004, including the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for the track "Dance With My Father," co-written with Richard Marx.
